Why is Drivetrain maintenance important?
A drivetrain is the mechanism through which power from the engine reaches the wheels. It is composed of a number of components which work together to deliver rotational power created by the engine to the tires. Its major components include the transmission or transaxle, drive shaft or half-shaft and differential.
The drivetrain requires fluid to function optimally. Automobile manufacturers recommend checking this fluid every 15,000 miles. Replacement of this fluid and its accompanying filter should occur at about 70,000 to 100,000 miles. Differential fluid should also be checked at about the same mileage. A common issue with the drivetrain system is transmission fluid leaks. It is important to have your car checked immediately if you notice any fluid leak underneath your vehicle. This will prevent more serious damage and costly repairs
We provide drivetrain services for both automatic and manual transmissions in 2WD, 4WD, and AWD automobiles.
